Sharing CTC’s Marine Conservation Efforts With Bogor Agriculture University Students

January 15, 2020, Sanur, Bali — 21 students from the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science at Bogor Agriculture University (IPB) visited the CTC Center for Marine Conservation. As part of their annual program, they visited Bali as part of a field trip. In order to introduce the students to scientific diving and marine conservation, their trip included a visit to CTC. Their main purpose for the visit was to learn more about marine conservation efforts across the Coral Triangle region.

During their visit, the CTC team gave them a tour around our Center, to introduce them to our facilities. Following the tour, the CTC team gave a presentation on our marine conservation programs, conservation in the field learning sites, building local capacity to maintain marine resources, and establishing marine protected areas (MPAs).

Their visit was concluded with a fun board game. The participants were divided into four teams, competing against each other to create healthy ecosystems through our Aquatico board game. The winner from each team received a free entry ticket to play our Escape Room SOS from the Deep.
