Coral Clay Workshop
Learn about corals while making your own out of clay! Bring out your creative side and learn about the different coral life form that exist in a reef while hand molding clay. The workshop is based on the Coral Universe ceramic sculpture at the Center for Marine Conservation, aiming to raise awareness on the beauty and fragility of our reefs.
Traditional Sea Animal Weaving Workshop
Get to know more about charismatic marine animals while learning traditional Indonesian weaving practices! Using coconut leaves as the main material, participants will learn to weave marine animals such as tuna, sea turtles, and crabs, among others, while understanding their unique traits, and their importance in keeping a balanced and healthy ocean!
Fun Learning Class
Learn basic knowledge about the ocean and marine life, and why we must protect them. Through a 30-minute presentation followed by fun quizzes and games, participants will have a better understanding and appreciation of our marine environment, the issues it is facing and existing solutions. Classes include Happy Corals in a Marine Protected Area, Our Fish in the Sea, Plastic Pollution, and Sustainable Marine Tourism.
Amazing Ocean Race
Participate in a fun and friendly challenge with your friends, family and colleagues, by playing Amazing Ocean Race. Itโs a race against time and teams where you will be quizzed on ocean related facts at the unique pitstops throughout our Center for Marine Conservation, like the Wayang Samudra Hall and the Coral Universe ceramic sculpture.
Fun Learning Trip
Take a trip out into the islands and learn with our team in the Nusa Penida Marine Protected Area (MPA). While on the island, you will learn about MPAs, visit a mangrove forest, have a chance to participate in coral and mangrove rehabilitation projects, meet local community conservation leaders, and learn about marine ecosystems through fun games!
Community Art Canvas
If you have ever felt inspired by ocean life, and been amazed by its beauty and colors, then youโd want to join our painting workshops. During this workshop, you will be given a chance to portray your love of the ocean on a canvas that you will be able to take home with you to admire.
Dinner with Art Performance
Join a unique dining experience at the Center for Marine Conservation and savor local delicacies while enjoying Wayang Samudra or Kecak performance by the Coral Universe ceramic sculpture. These unique performances tell compelling stories about the ocean, inspiring you to care for their survival.
