Sharing Marine Protected Area Management Lessons With Warmadewa University Students

January 12, 2022, Sanur, Bali — On January 12, CTC hosted 13 students from Warmadewa University for a fun-learning class. As part of a field study program for Aquatic Resources Conservation Course, these students visited CTC Center for Marine Conservation to learn in more detail about managing marine protected areas. The students were also eager to learn about the role of CTC as NGOs in developing and managing conservation efforts.

During their visit, CTC provided them with a tour around the Center to introduce them to our facilities and the programs that we offer at CTC Center for Marine Conservation. Following the tour, CTC team gave a presentation about marine protected areas presented by CTC’s MPA Learning Site Manager. The presentation also highlights the efforts on conservation area management through a collaborative approach and building local capacity to maintain marine resources.

Their visit concluded with a board game session with CTC team. The students were invited to play Aquatico board game. This game teaches the players about maintaining the health of marine ecosystems, for each animals to live within their habitat. One of the most effective ways to help wildlife is to maintain and preserve their living environment.
