🌊 Blue Futures: Youth and Young Professionals Driving Ocean Stewardship in the Coral Triangle
On 9 June 2026, CTC was pleased to participate in CTI-CFF`s Coral Triangle Day Talkshow, Blue Futures: Youth and Young Professionals Driving Ocean Stewardship in the Coral Triangle, held at the CTC Center for Marine Conservation in Bali and online.
Representing CTC, Nusa Penida Site Coordinator Tabitha Rudang shared insights on how CTC is advancing Blue Economy initiatives in the Nusa Penida Marine Protected Area (MPA), highlighting efforts to support sustainable livelihoods, strengthen community engagement, and promote responsible ocean stewardship.
Held in a hybrid format, the talkshow featured speakers from Papua New Guinea, Indonesia, and the Philippines, while welcoming participants from around the world. The discussion provided a valuable platform to exchange ideas and experiences, highlighting the important role of youth and young professionals in shaping a resilient and sustainable future for the Coral Triangle.

On April 26, 2026, we hosted an Earth Day Sunday Market inspired by this year’s theme, Our Power, Our Planet at our Center for Marine Conservation in Sanur, Bali. The day brought together ocean lovers, families, and youth for a celebration of learning, connection, and community.
Our sustainability bazaar featured eco-conscious brands, local artisans, and delicious food and drinks that encouraged mindful living. Together with Bali Youth Parliament for Water, we hosted Coralight: Glow for the Sea, a Coral 101 talk show that shared the story of coral reefs and the importance of restoration.
From hands-on learning activities at the Center to a peaceful sunset yoga session, the day offered space to learn, play, and recharge. We closed the celebration with a special film screening of “Ocean with David Attenborough”, facilitated by the National Geographic Society, leaving us inspired to keep protecting the ocean that sustains us all.
Thank you to everyone who joined and contributed to making the day truly memorable. We look forward to continuing our shared efforts toward a healthier ocean, a healthier planet, and a better future for all 🌊✨
